2023 Merry Market Volunteer

Thank you for partnering with us to bless our community by giving gifts, empowering parents during the holiday season. We have several volunteer teams available and to help you choose, here are some brief descriptions of the tasks for each team. 

In case your first choice is not available, we have included an option 2 below, where you can select your second preferred role.


1. Fundraising/Marketing (Leads: Lois Aspillaga/Aldusi Suisao)
Raise funds and goods from internal/external groups and donors. 
2. Family Application and Registration (Lead: TBD)
Assist with family application process and follow-ups. Before the event, the registration team will assign the approved families into groups, print list of approved applications. During the event, team will check in parents, give handouts and tickets, welcome families, and facilitate raffle. 

3.Volunteer Station (Lead: TBD)
They assist in checking in volunteers and preparing their food, snacks, and refreshments during the event. They also act as floaters if needed.
4. Pre-event Shoppers (Lead: TBD)
Shop for toys and goods before the event. 
5. Merry Hour (Lead: Stephanie Short)
Prepare food and snacks for parents to enjoy before they go shopping. Replenish as needed.
6. Santa Squad (Leads: Corinne Baniqued, Stephanie Oracion, Argel Macarandang)
Shop for toys before the event. Staff the booths, set up and replenish the inventory, take tickets from parents as they shop.
7. Gift Wrapping (Leads: Jacqueline Navarro and Jinky Filoteo) 
Wrap each gift that parents shop for their kids. Set up and tear down the gift wrapping station.
8. Santa Helpers (Leads: TBD)
Set up signs, welcome and direct the families, provide concierge services and assist the parents in shopping,  help families havethe best experience from the moment they arrive, shop, and help load gifts to their car.
9. Parking and Safety (Lead: Danny Herrera)
Assist and direct people to park in the designated areas. Help with the overall security of the event. 
10. Decor (Lead: TBD)
Set up and tear down decorations in the used areas for the event.
11. Media (Lead: Sydney Lima)
Take photos, stories, reels and recap of the event, set up speakers and mic, make sure there’s fun music playing throughout the event.
12: Facility (Lead: Mikee Macarandang)
Set up and tear down the booths, tables, different stations and make sure all areas are clean before, during and after the event. (Set up for Sunday to be considered during tear down.) May need to assist with decorations which will be done before the event date.
We hope these descriptions help you choose the team that suits your interests and skills. Please note that some groups have limited spots available.
